Mindfulness is an natural way of being which anyone can access – it involves paying attending to our present moment experience and cultivating attitudes of kindness, acceptance, compassion and gratitude.
In our daily lives our minds can become ‘full’ of scattered thoughts and multi-tasking worries, regrets and stress about what has been and what is still to come. We react instinctively and often find ourselves trapped in the negative behaviours and thoughts fueled by environments and incidents from our past.We risk missing out on the precious moments which are unravelling right in front of us.
By nurturing mindfulness, we can develop a more aware and compassionate attitude, we can learn new techniques of openness and acceptance, this approach helps us to ‘roll with the punches’ and enables us to step away from our habitual and automatic reactions and respond to difficulties and challenges with consideration and perspective.
The course will consist of guided and experiential learning and the opportunity to explore and share in a supportive environment and under the guidance of an experienced coach.
Andrea McGuiness will facilitate this 8 week course which is subsidised by Beith Trust.
The course costs £100, this cost represents a committment from participants in their own personal development and growth.. Refreshments are provided as part of the course.
