2018, is looking to be a busy year already for Food in the Garnock Valley #trustgoodfood. Really excited about the children’s cookery classes starting back next month where they will be making healthy, easy dinners that the kids can make at home with you.
Also the brand new “love Food, hate waste” workshops that are booked in for February and March. These are taking place in Gateside Primary School and Garnock Early years centre, Kilbirnie, and are open to the parents and carers of these establishments and will be covering all the hot topics like reducing waste, recycling, reusing and saving money .
Our Community Brunch has started back in Kilbirnie, on wednesday mornings 9-12, here we make lots of healthy brunches and lunches and take home for dinner (if there is any left!) and is open to everyone, NOT just carers and parents. It is a chance to come and have a cuppa and enjoy the company, whilst picking up some tips.
Diggin’ the Astro starts back on 15th February – where we are growing veg for the community, with tea / coffee/biscuits and soup thrown in – to heat you up, open to all, so no skills needed, but if you have some valuable DIY or gardening skills , all the better ! And that is just the first three months.
