The year seems to have shot through, feels like only yesterday we celebrated the start of 2017.
And yet summer time is fast approaching, even the weather at times feels more like summer time with the sun shining which at least to me makes you feel more positive.
Walking into the office never seen it such a hive of activity, with the phones ringing, the photocopier heating up with its use, boxes are appearing, disappearing and discussions as to where the boxes will go next. So many people make it feel warmer/ welcoming. Meanwhile the filing cabinets once an essential part of any office or home seems destined for the skip alongside the recently discovered bath.
Outside is also a hive of activity with the two bug houses and a third in construction providing shelter for the animals, the friendship bench just sitting patiently for someone to take shelter for a few minutes and take a moment away from the hustle and bustle. The sensory gardens roots are taking shape while a small army like ants from distance comb over the grounds bringing it and improving on the way it was before. While the public and others roam around like a nature reserve.
If you’re lucky and pick the right day there is a smell of what’s cooking from the Kitchen it could be anything from Carbonara to Cauliflower soup or someone’s noodles either way the smell if nothing else brings your senses alive even if you forget to switch on the extractor fan making it less like a kitchen and more like a sauna.
