Social Media: Work Experience
My name is Nathan, I live in Stevenston and attend Auchenharvie Academy. I chose to complete work experience here at Beith Community Trust as I am interested in Social Media and wanted to increase my skills and knowledge. I have gained skills in writing blogs and working on other social platforms whilst also working with other people in an office environment. I feel I was suited to this position as I use multiple social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat to share content and interact with friends. I enjoy using social media as it is a place where you can communicate with people and share things with people with similar interests.
My time at Beith Trust
Monday - I was introduced to staff around the site and completed a quick introduction about myself then made a mind map of my understanding of what social media is and means to me. I started working through the Google Digital Garage course.
Tuesday - For most of the day I was completing the theory of the Digital Garage then made a few mock social media posts about upcoming events at Geilsland.
Wednesday - In the morning I was in the kitchen cooking, we made French onion soup for lunch.
Thursday - I wrote this blog.
Friday - I passed the exam on The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing and then finished off this blog.
