My name is Steven, I do some image editing for the site or using a program called GIMP and one of the latest things I did was make a Halloween themed banner. I also help out with events that are held, so far since I started I’ve volunteered at the Beith Beer Festival and Fright Night. At the Beer Festival I helped keep the place tidy by picking up litter and then helping clear up at the end. At Fright Night I helped by getting a few things set up before the event started and then helped out in the craft area where kids were able to make lanterns. What I enjoy about volunteering here is helping out with events, both getting ready for and helping on the day. The people working here also make it a good place to volunteer, they have been friendly and welcoming.
What is your dream job?
I’ve always sort of struggled with coming up with a “dream job”. I have been giving some thought to trying to work in the game’s industry as it’s my favourite pass time. I’ve also considered working with animals, at a shelter or something.
What advice would you give your 13 year old self?
The best advice I could give my 13 year old self is probably to worry less about things because most things are never really as bad as they seem at the time. Also maybe be a bit more active!
What has been your most memorable day at the Trust?
My most memorable day has probably been the Beer Festival as it was the first event I was a part of, I enjoy helping out with those kind of things and always had an interest in the behind the scenes of those kind of things.
