Beith Trust Music Project
Our music project is run by young people for young people. Our aim is to bring music and performing arts to the forefront of the Garnock Valley community and provide lessons and performing opportunities to young musicians in our community.
Funded through The Big Lottery, this project hopes to develop young people’s skills, and talents, and provide them with opportunities that typically are not available within the Garnock Valley. We have spare instruments and equipment for those who wish to come along to our events but don’t have their own instruments or equipment.
Currently, to provide these opportunities, we’re running lots of different projects and events within our music project. Including, but not limited to; open mic nights, guitar lessons, drum lessons, jamming sessions, sound engineering lessons and two annual band factory experiences. Alongside this, in 2023 we introduced our first Scottish fundraiser night, an international women’s day celebration of music and art for the women of Ayrshire, springtime acoustic open mic nights, and a brand new music festival in collaboration with The Eglinton Inn. There’s always something fun happening in our music project and a diverse range of activities to ensure everyone can engage and enjoy.
If you are interested in getting involved in any of our projects or events, either to attend or to run something of your own, please contact Tom.williams@beithtrust.org or give us a call on 01505 228141.
