Volunteering with Beith Trust

The Beith Community Development Trust exists to support and help its surrounding community. Through important projects that cater for the needs of North Ayrshire, like food banks, outdoor children’s classes, events, and leadership courses, we seek to improve the lives of everyone in the Garnock Valley, in any way we can.

Young people

We know that the future of our community lies with its young people. That’s why we have a range of specialised activities and opportunities designed specifically for young people, including our sports leadership programme, nature activity classes, collaborative music projects and lots more.

Volunteering in North Ayrshire

We couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers. They are the heart of the trust, and through years of dedicated hard work have become the heart of the community. We’re always looking for new volunteers to join our team and help support the wide range of projects we have.

And it’s not just good for us! We want our volunteers to gain something from the experience too, which is why we’ll try to have our volunteers engage with projects that allow them to make the most of their existing talents or gain experience and new skills in something that really interests them.

If you’re looking to volunteer in North Ayrshire, you can become involved in one of our opportunities in the following sectors: project work, administration, children’s events, free food provision, beer halls, one-off events.

Training Opportunities

Because our volunteers give so much to us and the community – we do everything we can to give back to them. Which is why we offer a range of funded training and skills development opportunities. Sometimes, these training opportunities can be just what a young person needs to bolster their CV, boost their confidence and transform their employability prospects.

As well as offering ongoing training, support, and mentoring, we also offer free tickets to some of our biggest events, numerous networking opportunities, educational opportunities, CV boosters, and certified training in the following areas:

As an extra thank you to our volunteers, we make sure that each volunteer gets a discounted membership with KA Leisure – that’s full membership for only £23 per month. That gives you access to the fitness suite, all classes, four swimming pools, ice rink, athletics track as well as the range of community fitness groups
